Adam Hess Ph.D.
At Red River Behavioral Health, Adam conducts psychological evaluations and assessments and provides therapy to a wide range of people that are suffering with anxiety, depression, addictive, and other behavioral and other emotional problems frequently encountered in life. His approach to therapy is relaxed and informal, focusing on each patient’s unique needs and struggles.
Dr. Adam Hess is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Central Louisiana. He studied Psychology at California State University, Fresno where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. He earned his Master of Arts and Doctorate in Forensic Psychology at Alliant International University.
Adam has practiced in several institutional settings to include juvenile and adult correctional institutions, outpatient and residential treatment centers for drugs and alcohol, and in settings offering treatment to law enforcement personnel. He has experience treating substance abuse, trauma, mood, and anxiety disorders in adolescents and adults.
Adam has taught University classes in Criminology and Psychology at California State University, Fresno and at Louisiana State University at Alexandria. He has published articles in peer reviewed journals in the area of Eyewitness Memory.

Candice Gaspard, LPC
Candice Gaspard is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been a member of the Red River Behavioral Health team since 2020. Candice is a native of the Central Louisiana area and earned a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. She has also taught classes in Psychology for Northwestern State University. Candice is credentialed as a National Certified Counselor.
Candice has provided mental health services in various settings including adult corrections, behavioral health, nonprofit, and private practice. Candice’s clinical experience includes working with adolescents and adults with diverse issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and substance use. She also provides couples/marital counseling.
Candice’s approach to therapy is to provide a supportive, safe, and accepting environment that provides clients with the space to unburden themselves of overwhelming thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Christine Tilley, LCSW
Christine Tilley is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Louisiana with over 30 years of experience in the field of mental health. She has been licensed in Florida and Maryland in the past. She has considerable experience working with a wide range of chronic and acute emotional problems as well as helping others in areas of general life problems. She works with individuals (children, adolescents, and adults), couples, and families.
Christine’s areas of expertise include depression, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, problems related to ADHD in children and adolescents, behavioral problems in children and adolescents, marriage problems, stress management, and helping children transition after divorce. In her counseling, Christine primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with an emphasis on problem solving and development of coping skills. She comes from a Christian-based perspective. She has been married over 30 years and has three children.

Dr. Leigh Ann Hess
Dr. Leigh Ann Hess is a native of Alexandra, Louisiana where she was born and raised. She is a graduate of Alexandra Senior High School. Dr. Hess went on to study Psychology and earned her bachelor's degree from Louisiana Technical University. She earned her doctorate in forensic psychology from Alliant international University in Fresno, California.
Dr. Hess has spent 14 years working as a psychologist for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. In this capacity she has treated inmates with a wide range of emotional and behavioral problems. She has specialized in substance abuse treatment, and for more than a decade has managed a non-residential treatment program for inmates.
Dr. Hess started her work at Red River Behavioral Health in 2023. She treats adults and adolescents with a wide range of emotional problems and conditions. She has extensive experience diagnosing and treating substance abuse, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and diagnosing and treating ADHD.
Dr. Hess has a unique approach to treatment. She values collaborative work and helps patients navigate through the emotionally difficult times in life.

We are in the treatment of Adolescents and Adults ranging from teenagers to retirement-aged people. Treatment approaches are adapted to fit the generation and cultural demands of each person. Issues that are common among this wide range of ages vary considerably. For this reason, special care is given to each person to ensure quality services.
First Responders, Military & Veterans, Law Enforcement
The providers at Red River Behavioral Health specialize in the treatment of first responders including Fire Fighters, Emergency Medical Personnel, Law Enforcement, and those that serve or have served in the military. Despite recent increases in mental health focus, these populations tend to be undeserved due to a variety of reasons.
Individuals & Groups
Our providers utilize a variety of different treatment modalities including individual and group treatment as well as treatments that occasionally involve family members of loved ones. Each treatment approach will depend on a combination of the symptoms presented as well as individual factors.
